A self-hosted computer for AI agents

Your agent.
A computer
of its own.

BotHearth gives your AI agent a browser, shell, and workspace on your Mac or Linux machine. Watch it work. Review its requests. Take the controls when it needs you.

A clear view of the work

From “can you…”
to something you can check.

Start a task in plain language. Follow the activity feed beside its live browser. Inspect the result before you rely on it.

THE TASK WORKSPACE Actual development build
A running browser task with a step-by-step activity feed, live Chromium view, Take control button, and an estimated tool budget.
Unretouched pre-rename development build, 7 September 2026. The dollar meter estimates tool usage; it does not measure a model-provider bill.
01 / A separate computer

Give it a place to work.

A Chromium browser with its own profile. A separate shell container. A configured workspace on your host. Your everyday browser profile is not mounted by default.

02 / A human in the loop

Step in when it matters.

Review new destinations and detected sensitive actions. During human control, model capture is blocked. Approval detection has limits; stay present for sensitive work.

03 / A result to inspect

Keep the work in view.

Follow task steps, review requests, and open saved outputs. Task allowances can pause work. Your provider's own limits and charges still apply.

Bring a little curiosity

A small task.
A good place to start.

Start with a public page, no credentials, and a result you can verify. These recipes explain what to ask and how to check the work.

Free to get started

No BotHearth bill.
No account to create.

BotHearth is free for the noncommercial purposes permitted by the PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 licence. Read the code, build it, and adapt it within those terms.

You provide the computer and an eligible model account. Provider usage, a container runtime, electricity, or a rented server may cost money. This release includes no commercial-use grant.

It is an alpha: source installation, one operator, macOS and Linux. Model errors, prompt injection, and website automation restrictions remain real limitations.
